Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and that means it’s time to deck out in shades of pink, white, and red. My Valentine’s Day Outfit Shopping Guide is broken down into easy categories to help you find looks you love. As always, I’m sticking to affordable fashion, meaning many items range from $15-$40 (with accessories being much less expensive). A lot of these items are currently on sale or clearance, so get them while they last!

Disclaimer: I try to share items I have and love, but I can’t always make that happen, especially when I’m offering you a roundup of over 50 items. I DO NOT own all of these items (but I do own several pieces and have purchased from the shops I’m linking). Please be aware of that, and if you have any questions about any of the pieces or shops I’ve linked, leave a comment so I can get back to you!

If you want to see some of these pieces put together as full outfits and see a few I haven’t shared (yea… there’s more…), make sure to follow me on and Instagram, where I’ll be posting some complete looks leading up to Valentine’s Day.

I’m not the type of person to get all dressed up and make a big fuss on Valentine’s Day, but I absolutely see the appeal. I may not dress to the nines and wait to be whisked off on some romantic The Bachelor-esque date, but if I did, I’d probably be wearing one of these dresses. (In all honesty, dress 1 is currently sitting in my shopping cart… it’s a great price and who doesn’t need a new little black dress?)

I might not get all dolled up for a romantic night out on the town come 2/14, but I do enjoy getting into the spirit of things. Maybe it’s because I love a good themed outfit, or because I work with kids and I know many of them still get excited about Valentine’s Day, but I love channeling the love that this holiday is meant to celebrate. These casual pieces are ones I can see myself in for work (probably because I’ve worn both numbers 2 and 8 to work) or wearing over Valentine’s weekend for a festive brunch.

I love a good graphic tee or sweater. The problem I have with holiday-specific clothes is that once the holiday passes, you generally have nowhere else to wear those pieces until next year. I HATE that! It seems so wasteful. So for this roundup, I picked a few pieces that do fall into the “pack away until next year” category, but I also picked some items that can be worn whenever you damn well please. FYI – numbers 1 and 9 are the same design, but different pieces (1 is a sweatshirt and 9 is a tee), but I love it so much that I wanted you to have both options. I’m obsessed with my heart tee from Taylor Wolfe — she has tons of other super cute designs too. Check her out if you’re not familiar.

Here’s the thing about Valentine’s Day — it’s in the dead of winter. I live in LA and I know that. It’s. Still. Cold. I feel like the second New Year’s Eve passes, everyone is eager to say “it’s spring!” when it is in fact very much NOT spring. That being said, you need to bundle up. Those cute mini dresses and skirts may look phenomenally sexy, but all that va va voom is negated if you’re blue and shivering. Do yourself a favor and bundle up to stay sexy and alive!

Valentine's Day Outerwear

I gave you some options for tops, but you can’t very well Winnie the Pooh it and rock the no bottoms look (I don’t know, maybe you work from home and can, but odds are you’re shopping for some looks for VDay for outside the home). Here are more pieces that pair well with basically anything, and some more shoe options to mix and match. In addition to some very Valentinesy skirts, I threw in some of my favorite jeans and leggings.

You know what they say: the devil’s in the details. I don’t if that’s appropriate for a holiday entered on a sweet little cherub, but the sentiment is true: accessories really make the outfit.

I hope I gave you some inspiration and options for you Valentine’s Day plans this year! I’d love to know what you bought, how you styled it, and what your plans are. Make sure you leave me a comment here or tag or DM me on Instagram so I can see what you’re up to! Don’t forget that I’ll be sharing more pieces and complete outfit ideas over on, so download the free app and follow along, if you aren’t already.

Whatever your Valentine’s Day plans are, I hope you look and feel fabulous and know how very loved you are!
