Fall flavors are my favorite — apple and toffee and pecan and pumpkin spice everything!
I’ve been going super pumpkin spice crazy lately because I found THE BEST pumpkin spice, and I’ve been putting it in everything, including this Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream, which was a huge hit at this year’s Friendsgiving!
I know what you’re thinking… isn’t pumpkin spice just… spices? For pumpkin pie? How can it be THAT good?
Well, my friend, it turns out that not all pumpkin spices are created equally. I recently picked up Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Pie Spice, and it kind of changed my life. Or at least my baking. It has cardamom and lemon peel in it — two ingredients most other pumpkin pie spices don’t include. Those extra ingredients give everything a little extra warm, cozy, fall-feeling magic. This is now my go-to pumpkin pie spice, and Iย HIGHLY recommend using this spice blend for this ice cream recipe.
I also recommend making sure you have extra cold heavy whipping cream so that is whips into peaks nicely. It also doesn’t hurt to stick your bowl and beaters into the fridge to chill for 30 minutes before you begin whipping, if there’s room in your refrigerator.
This recipe, like my No Churn S’more Ice Cream, is super easy and only requires five ingredients. It’s a real crowd pleaser and a cinch to make. Whip up a batch to impress friends and family this holiday season, or to have a little taste of fall any time of the year.
